Pray with Christians for Muslims during Ramadan

Ramadan occurs every year (the exact timing, depends on the sighting of the moon) and this year Ramadan runs from 10 March to 8 April 2024. There are four Fridays in Ramadan which we will use to provide opportunities for Christians to pray for Muslims.

Here’s how you can get involved with Mahabba this Ramadan:

Joint online prayer

On the first three Fridays of Ramadan, Mahabba will host an online prayer meeting from 7:30 to 8:15pm.

  1. Friday 15th March Online (led by Mahabba Waltham Forest/Pathway London)

  2. Friday 22nd March Online prayer (led by Mahabba Woking/Across)

  3. Friday 29th March Online prayer (led by Mahabba Bristol)

Friday 5th April Local Night of Power prayer meetings at a time of your choosing (see below).  If you prefer to choose a different night or type of event, you are welcome to do so.

Night of power: Local prayer meetings

Mahabba Network would like to invite all Mahabba groups to organise their own local 'Night of Power' prayer meeting on Friday 5th April. (The Night of Power is any of the last ten days of Ramadan).

This night is perhaps the best opportunity in the year to invite Christians from churches near you to come and pray for Muslims during Ramadan.

You could run such a special prayer time in any of the following ways:

  • Gather with a few others in a home or online for a time of prayer on 5th April

  • Book a church hall or public place and invite Christians to come from local churches to pray

  • Organise a prayer walk with other Christians
