We’ve got a number of active, thriving groups on WhatsApp, whether you’re a coordinator of a Mahabba group or simply looking for a place to connect with like-minded Christians.

How do I join a WhatsApp group?

You can use WhatsApp on your computer or via the smartphone app, and it’s free to use, although we ask that users adhere to a few, straightforward guidelines to enhance the experience.

Guidelines for posting on WhatsApp

The WhatsApp group is for those who:

• Want to chat around sharing faith and Jesus with Muslims in an ethos of grace and truth

• Pursue Mahabba's vision of seeing ministry among people of Muslim heritage as a normal part of church life

Community guidelines

• Focus on contributing your own content that's related to Mahabba, such as thoughts, reflections or things you've found helpful for:

• Praying for Muslims

• Building friendships with Muslims

• Sharing the Gospel with Muslims

• Focus on content and conversations that are primarily related to reaching Muslims in the UK

• External links (such as to YouTube or X) must include your thoughts or feelings on the link

• As a guide, limit posts containing external links to one in five

• The group is self-moderated, but if posts do not meet the community guidelines they will be deleted by a community admin

• A reason for the deletion will be given publicly or privately depending on the context

• This is an open group so be mindful of your own & other's privacy & security

• Ask the permission of the Original Poster or author before copying & pasting content outside this group

Is WhatsApp moderated or are there any rules?

• At present, our WhatsApp groups are self-moderated although there is a very short set of guidelines for engagement:

  • We ask that you follow our guidelines and be sensitive about security and respecting other users

• However, there are two grounds for immediate suspension:

  • Canvassing support for extreme political parties or political views

  • Copying and pasting content outside WhatsApp without the explicit consent of the Original Poster or author
