2019 MCSCI Conference

Identity and Worldview in Mission

Considering one of the key issues of our time - identity, this conference draws together speakers from all over the world, providing opportunities to learn from others’ experience and to consider how to share the Good News in the UK and beyond.

The aim of this conference will be to identify and seek to understand the different worldviews that Christians encounter both in the West and South Asia and the Middle East, in order to inform the mission of the church, especially with Muslims.

The subjects of identity and Worldview have become significant issues in

multi-ethnic communities as people struggle to discover who they are and where they belong. Both newly-arrived communities as well as post-colonial societies wrestle with these questions, sometimes painfully. The aim of this conference will be to identify and seek to understand the different worldviews that Christians encounter both in the West, South Asia and the Middle East, in order to inform the mission of the church, especially with Muslims. How can Christians speak into these changing environments, bringing the message of God’s love in Jesus Christ?

Drawing together speakers from all over the world this conference provides an opportunity for Christians to reflect on what can be learnt from others’ experiences, and to consider how to share Good News in the UK.
