As we watch the news, we hear of yet another young life lost to knife crime, the uncertainty around Brexit, and the rising level of mental ill-health faced by young people in our city. Our hearts break and can feel overwhelmed, but as Christians, Jesus tells us not to worry or be anxious but instead to come to him - the one who has conquered sin and death and who now sits at the right hand of the Father, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion.
Let's come in confidence to our awesome, majestic and mighty King, the Prince of Peace, the God of all comfort and compassion, and intercede for our city. Let's pray that the love of Jesus and the good news of the gospel would permiate all aspects of our city, from the halls of Government to the alleyways of our estates. Let's pray for his Kingdom to come and will to be done here.
Thank you for signing up with #PrayLondon to be praying together for London in times of crisis. This is our first newsletter and we have highlighted below prayer gatherings and events organised by some of our friends happening in the coming months which you might be interested in attending or sharing with your prayer groups and church.
