This month we want to share with you two events that tie in with our values of Encouraging Prayer and Enabling all Christians. Our vision is to grow regular, persistent prayer for our Muslim brothers and sisters. We also want to see Christians grow in confidence, equipped to share Jesus with their Muslim neighbours. Are these things that you could be involved in? Could you invite people in your church to join you in your vision?
We remember Her Majesty
The whole country has been shaken with the news of the Queen’s death. As she was someone with strong and visible faith, we can take comfort from these words in Revelation:
‘Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them.”’ Rev 14:13
Joining the Family
There is an online Joining the Family course starting on 26th September for 6 consecutive Mondays (except the school half term on 24th October).
If you haven’t come across Joining the Family before, it is an initiative to help churches in the West to understand, be equipped and learn from Christ’s followers that are from a Muslim heritage. A growing number of Muslims are choosing to follow Christ, we need to understand their needs, care for them and encourage them in their faith journey. If you want to sign up for the course, follow this link.
Network-wide biannual online prayer event – faithfulness and perseverance
Don’t forget our online prayer event happening on Friday 7th October, 7.30-8.30pm. This will be an opportunity to worship together, pray together and hear from some other like-minded ministries. Either meet with your Mahabba group and join together or simply come along as an individual. Let us inspire and encourage one another as we come before God in prayer.

Meet the volunteer
Simon heads up the Support Circle, is the Company Secretary and also served as a trustee for a time:
I never thought I would be involved with Mahabba for almost ten years now! When I joined we had come back from an abortive attempt as mission partners in North Africa. Mahabba was the perfect opportunity to continue to be involved in cross-cultural work and faith-sharing activities among Muslims. A lot of what I do in Mahabba tends to be behind the scenes, but it's always thoroughly encouraging to hear stories from Mahabba groups. Mahabba people tend to have more interaction with Muslim people than me these days, so please let me know your stories - it encourages me and I also love sharing them to encourage others across our wider network!
