Sharing the Gospel
Update #23 for May from the Mahabba Network
This month we highlight a new book by Rob Scott and an exciting upcoming event with Dr Karamat Iqbal in conversation with Dr Canon Andrew Smith.
As restrictions lift and doors reopen, we look towards a summer full of fresh opportunity to reconnect with Muslim friends and neighbours.
But sharing the Gospel with Muslim people can often feel intimidating and out of reach. What if I cause offense or step on ‘cultural toes’? What if they don’t want to talk about the Bible, or they want me to read the Qur’an instead?
This month we’re really excited to be talking about Rob Scott’s latest book, Sharing The Gospel With A Muslim Neighbour - a book full of insights, ideas and theology to deal with just those sorts of questions.
Rob is a member of the Mahabba Network and is passionate about seeing Christians and churches reaching out to Muslim communities in the UK.
Listen in
To share more about the ideas in the book, Rob spoke to Phil Goodchild from Mahabba, explaining how he came to be passionate about sharing the gospel with Benghali Muslims (in both Bangladesh and Central London).
He shares insights and creative ideas for how to build relationships and demonstrate God’s love to Muslims, particularly how to open the Bible together and share the good news.
Why not listen to this interview in your Mahabba prayer group or church small group and use it for discussion and prayer for your Muslim neighbours?
